FPHTU welcome Barilla Group Expert to Discuss Global Research Collaborations

The Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University, was honored to welcome Professor Michele Suman, Food Safety & Authenticity Research Manager, Barilla Group, and Academia–Industry Scientific Coordinator, University of Parma–Barilla, during his visit to the Faculty on 21 January 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Professor Michele Suman was accompanied by Associate Professor Dr. Awanwee Petchkongkaew, Lecturer in Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Science and Technology, and Head of the Thammasat University Center of Excellence in Global Food Security.

The visit included tours of the Occupational Health Laboratory, Environmental Health Laboratory, Microbiology Laboratory, the Collaborating Center for Clean Air and Climate Change, and the Nutrition Laboratory.

On this occasion, Professor Michele Suman and Associate Professor Dr. Awanwee Phetkongkaew also paid a courtesy visit to Assistant Professor Dr. Soisuda Kesornthong, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health,
Associate Professor Dr. Pirom Noisumdaeng, Deputy Dean for Strategy and Academic Services
and Pol. Maj. Dr. Katiya Ivanovitch, Deputy Dean for Administration and International Affairs,
to discuss potential future collaboration in academic and research activities.
