Global Health on the Border: Mae Sot Field Trip 2025
Our students continued their educational trip in Mae Sot with a visit to Ban Rai Pa Nuea, a vibrant Karen community. Immersed in Karen culture, students observed the intricate art of traditional weaving and explored the sacred "Navel Tree," learning about its spiritual importance to the community.
They also gained insights into how the community balances economic opportunities while preserving its cultural heritage.
This immersive experience provided students with a unique perspective on community resilience, cultural identity, and the intricate connections between health, mobility, and tradition.
