The 8th One Health Lecture Series
Great atmosphere at the opening ceremony of a precious seminar of the 8th One Health Lecture
Series,
under the theme "Enhance Scientific Collaboration for Healthier Society" (Hybrid meeting)
during December 18–19, 2023,
organized by the School of Veterinary Medicine,
Rakuno Gakuen University, Japan.
The opening ceremony and welcome remarks were delivered
by Associate Professor Gasinee Witoonchart, Rector of Thammasat University,
and the representatives of our partnerships, including the Executive Vice President,
Hokkaido University,
President of Rakuno-Gakuen University, Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine,
Rakuno-Gakuen University,
and Dean of the Graduate School of Infectious Diseases, Hokkaido University.
In this regard, Associate Professor Dr. Sasitorn Taptaganporn,
Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University,
together with Assistant Professor Dr.Pirom Noisumdaeng, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs
and Laboratory,
Assistant Professor Dr.Teeraphun Kaewdok, Assistant Dean for Research,
Assistant Professor Dr. Panitcha Thanatrakonsri, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Public
Health (Lampang Campus),
Assistant Professor Dr.Saowanee Norkaew, and Assistant Professor Dr.Kanjana Changkaew,
attended the seminar and presented their research findings.
The lecture series covered a range of One Health presentations with keynote lectures,
speaker sessions, workshops, and young researchers,
which provided the opportunity to share a collaborative approach to research from the field
on One Health issues,
including occupational and environmental health, wildlife disease, ergonomics, air quality,
and infectious diseases.
During the duration at Rakuno Gakuen University, Japan, our representatives from the faculty of public health also conducted a walk-through survey to identify occupational health problems, especially in the working conditions at Animal Medical Center, and report the assessment results to them later.
